Our May meeting

The final meeting for our 2012-2013 was held on May 11th. We were so pleased to honor Marti Page, one of the charter members of our ministry. Marti was wrapped in the beautiful yellow shawl that was the 500th shawl that Babs Donahue knit last year. Everyone extended their hands in blessing Marti as she was wrapped, and two poems that Babs had written for the occasion were recited. In addition, Marti was also informed that she had been named a "Shining Star" for the month of May...nominations were from the Prayer Shawl Ministry and St. Mary's Adult Choir. As Monsignor Mike said, Marti isn't a Shining Star, she's a whole galaxy!" After our closing prayers, we enjoyed a pot luck lunch and then departed with goodbyes and wishes for a healthy and happy summer. See you in September!
