The prayer shawl ministry of St. Mary Parish was created in 2001 by Marti Page and a small group of women who met once a month to knit shawls for those in need of comfort, those who were ill, those who were grieving, people who were celebrating the birth of a child , couples who were being joined in the sacrament of marriage, parishioners who were receiving the sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. . This ministry has grown through the years...we still meet as a group on the second Saturday of the month to enjoy each others companionship and to share in the joy of bringing comfort to others.
